The temperature is starting to chill, but our style is still hot.  One of my favorite things about the weather decreasing is bringing out the denim.  I have a few favorite styles this year that are a must for your wardrobe.  Everybody knows that Kelsey likes to dress comfy all year round.  Here’s my comfy yet cute denim picks for the upcoming Spooky Season.

Transitioning into fall, I’m bringing my high rise denim.   You can catch me in a comfy dark wash with a cropped tee & cute cardigan at night.  High waisted jeans stay up all day, so you don’t have to worry about drooping drawers. They’re going to sit right above your waist, but below your belly button.  One of my favorite pairs right now are the Quill distressed high rise denim.  With hand destructed fabric, & undone hems, you can rock these day and night.  One of my favorite Kelsey things to do is to pair up undone hems & moto boots for an edgy yet chic look. It’s like an easy accessory built into your jeans.

I live in skinny jeans if they aren’t leggings.  I always find myself needing pockets for my phone or keys or a sticky note of “remember to do...” things.  My Justin high rise dark wash skinnies are the cure all.  These are more of a higher rise, allowing comfort all day every day.  I’m a little petite one, but I feel like I'm over 5’2” when I wear skinnies.  They accentuate your legs, make them look longer & leaner.  The fabric hugs you, but stretches with you.  Pair these bad boys up with a long sleeve tee & a zip up vest.  Wear with some cute sandals for the time being, & then transition into your favorite cozy fall boots!  Skinny jeans are extremely versatile for almost all Wisconsin days.

One of my favorite trends is the quad button concept.  The Suzie denim is composed of a medium wash with darker shading near the seams.  Dark stitching paired up with some destruction at the pockets makes for a clean look, with a little bit of sassiness.  The button fly gives your denim a whole new look.  I like to pair this with a high-low shirt, but keeping my top simple to make the buttons really pop.  This denim also has unbelievable stretch, but will return back to the size after washing.

My last, but not forgotten favorite this crazy 2020 year has to be boot cut.  Aside from all the body forming denim, a chic bootcut paired with a pair of sneakers is needed.  I myself cannot do heels, but I give kudos to any woman who can walk in them.  Personally, I like to pair up a dark wash bootcut with some embellished flip flops, a graphic tee & flannel.  This outfit is perfect for on the go errands, or a chill night out with the gal pals.  I typically go for a pair of bootcut with embellished pockets for some added glam.  But again, I always use my pockets! I should invest in a nice fanny pack this year too, but that’s what pockets are for.

Make sure to tune in Thursday nights to see our latest and greatest styles, featuring some of my favorite denim picks!  Occasionally, you might get to hear a Kelsey joke too.
